In October of 2024, Confidential Recovery held its 10th Anniversary Celebration on the patio of their San Diego outpatient treatment program offices. The event served a dual purpose as a fundraiser for The Veterans Navigation Center, which is a non-profit that is dedicated to helping veterans overcome mental health and other struggles so that they can make a successful transition to civilian life.
In anticipation of the event, Jay Wylie, Operations Manager of Confidential Recovery and 22-year navy veteran, said "We’re especially honored to stand by our veterans and first responders, who have given so much to our country, and to ensure they have the resources they need to heal and thrive.”
The event was attended by about one hundred people, and the audience was made up of professionals who work in the field of addiction treatment, work with veterans, and many whose lives have been touched by Confidential Recovery's program.
There were also local leaders including representatives from the County of San Diego who made proclamations for both Confidential Recovery and Veterans Navigation Center, including
- A Proclamation from San Diego County Board of Supervisors welcoming The Veterans Navigation Center to The Live Well San Diego Team
- A Proclamation from San Diego County District 3 congratulating Confidential Recovery on 10 years
- A Proclamation from Representative Scott Peter’s Office congratulating Confidential Recovery on 10 years
- A Certificate from Representative Sara Jacobs’s Office congratulating Confidential Recovery on 10 years
Scott H. Silverman had this to say after the event, "Thank you to all the veterans and Confidential Recovery alumni in attendance, Sheriff Bill Gore, the County of San Diego for their proclamations they awarded both Confidential Recovery and the Veterans Navigation Center. But most of all, thank you to the team at Confidential Recovery for all their hard work making the event such a success, here's to another 10 years!"
